About Phyll Thomas
Phillip Michael Thomas (born January 14, 1995), better known by his stage name Phyll Thomas, is an American rapper, songwriter and music recording artist born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Phyll began his musical journey at the tender age of 15 years old, writing and performing in the youth choir at church before following the footsteps of his older brother Brandin (The Fresh Brand). Through trial and error of testing many names, he chose the stage name "Phyll Thomas"; replacing the "I" with "Y" in remembrance of his mother who went by the self given nickname "Kym with a Y". Since then, he has released projects such as Khaos Theory in 2017, TEN31 in 2020, Khaos Theory 2 in 2021, and most recently FLOWERS in late 2023. Over the years he's also released a plethora of songs including fan favorites "YO (why, oh)" , "PROOF" and "At Last". The multi-talented creative, provides fun lyrics with on upbeat instrumentation and delivers powerful words, using imagery through story telling, challenging the mind of the listener. Phyll cites Little Brother, Schoolboy Q, Ludacris, Galimatias, Lido, and Kirk Franklin, as only a few of his many inspirations.
